365 in 35.
A Work in Progress
As we approach 365 days in 35 - our own creative studio and burgeoning creative hub - we’re not going to reflect on the year past (that's what our massive New Year reel was for) but rather to look forward and imagine where we will be over the next year - the work, the markets, the space, our vision.
As always, like our projects, we are a work in progress.
Global brands ahoy - From our own proud shores to those in the Americas, Europe and the Far East, we are fortunate to be working with some incredible people with brands and products to share. From whisky and vodka, to salmon and sustainable pet treats, the next year will see some amazing work and products being shared far and wide.
A creative heart - With a new tenant already feeling at home - hi Doric Skateboards - and our new photo studio (almost) ready for student use, the future of our special hub is bright. We're looking forward to using the space in the way creative hubs should - partnerships, collaborations, events and more. Shhhh… just be patient and you’ll see our hub doing loads more hubbing later this year.
It’s not all about robots - Artificial Intelligence may get all the headlines, but in terms of technology and innovation, there is so much more going on. With our brand and digital hats on (askew baseball caps and/or short beanies), we are happy to play our part. From the oft-mentioned ‘carbon capture’ (in all its incarnations) and subsea chemistry, to investment management and turbine efficiencies, this year will be about cultivating a narrative that is inspirational and evocative and yet accessible and memorable - such things are at the heart of a good brand-building process.
A real transformation - As we all know, energy, how we produce it and where we get it is forever changing and will continue to be driven by innovation. Whether pivoting current products and services or inventing whole new technologies, we are working with a range of brilliant brains and skillful hands - both fully immersed in the legacy energy business and those new to the sector who hope to play a large part of this change now and in the years to come.
The lands we live in - How rural space is utilized has had to change and for those on the land, diversification is key. Landowners look at an even greater variety of ways to make the most of that special sauce they all have - The Great Scottish Outdoors - so they can continue to build their business and support communities. From new distilleries and fresh produce, to tourism and sustainability, the brand and digital work we will will deliver this year will continue to support the entrepreneurial mindset needed in such ‘changeable’ times.
Marginal Gains - Now the look inwards. Small changes to our process and incremental improvements to how we work together alongside better internal comms and more refined roles has lead to and will continue to lead to even better results for us and our clients. Marginal gains for gains on all margins? ;)
Look at the changes you can make inside if you want changes to be felt on the outside.
These are but some but not all of the areas of interest for us over the coming months and years. Growth in capability and reputation is our ongoing goal and delivering the best work we can for the best people we know - in a way that is both enjoyable and valuable - is what it’s all about.
