Stretching our Legs
In August 2020, Team FortyTwo signed up for My CLAN Walk 2020 – a month-long walkathon to replace the fundraising walk event that was cancelled due to the COVID-19 situation.
We set a (very clever) target of 420 miles at the beginning of the month, a mileage spreadsheet was quickly established and we immediately got all dogs and babies appropriately dressed to start racking up those miles...
Having worked with CLAN Cancer Support in the past and seen the fantastic work they do, taking part was a no-brainer for us. CLAN provide vital emotional and practical support to people affected by cancer across north-east Scotland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland – it's an area of healthcare support that is very close to home for all of us, in every sense.
Highland hikes, forest rambles, beach strolls, dog walks – they all add up. Our total was soon creeping up towards that 420-mile goal, and our fundraising page was catching on.
Thanks to everyone who generously donated to support the work of CLAN Cancer Support. Every penny will help, and charities like this need more support than ever during these challenging times in society.
You can still donate via our JustGiving page – even a few £ will be a real boost.
As of 3rd September 2020, we have raised £510 for CLAN Cancer Support and our grand total sits at...
690 miles.
Please donate to CLAN Cancer Support via our fundraising page on JustGiving – remember to add GiftAid if you can, to add a wee bit extra at no additional charge.
