Say Hello...Gina Urquhart
Name: Gina Urquhart
Role: Account Manager
Since: February 2016
WokWok Order: Half a 94 - The other half is shared with Jill ;)
For those who don’t know give us a quick rundown of what you do:
I might not be the one with the ‘Big’ ideas, but I like to see myself as an essential part of the studio - I help to keep things ticking over. I’m usually a client's first point of contact and my typical week can consist of anything ranging from managing a website or brand project, planning an exhibition stand, through to preparing web and social reports. I’m involved with most projects here so if you ever pop into the Studio, I’ll probably be one of the first people you say hello to.
Favourite aspect of your job:
It’s definitely the people I get to meet and work with. One day I’m talking through a brand identity concept with a sax playing well engineer, and the next planning website updates with an ex-STV news presenter. It’s that varied, diverse, crazy but I love it! It’s the complete opposite to mundane and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
What do you like doing when you’re not in the studio?
You’ll quickly learn that I work with some of the most active and adventurous characters (I’ll not give anything away, you’ll have to read their blogs!). I’m the complete opposite, I was fully committed to the ‘hygge’ way of living long before it become a trendy thing to buy a book about. If I’m not in the studio, I’ll likely be having a G&T watching a TV series. I occasionally run but don’t pin me down on that!
Tell us a wee something about you that folks might not know and or care about.
I’m an identical twin - Most people know that bit and it’s not particularly interesting, but if you are interested I’m the oldest and yes we look alike. We were born very premature and ended up in a hospital with no means to cope. Unbeknown to us, we created a media frenzy and ended up hitting the TV and Press headlines starting a campaign to improve maternity facilities. Not bad going for a 2 x one day old’s…..
Lastly - what’s your guilty pleasure:
