New packaging and brand refresh for 100 year old family business
Based in London and Aberdeen, Denmore Press are a well respected and vastly experienced printer and packaging producer – over 25 years in the game.
Responding to an unprecedented rise in the e-commerce and retail packaging sector, the team at DP looked to establish themselves as one of the leading players in the market, and this ambitious growth strategy called for a step change in brand positioning, strategy, along with a fresh look at brand values.
We developed a whole new visual identity for the brand, alongside a new approach to positioning and a strategy to establish Denmore Press as a leader in their sector. The current business was still enjoying much success, so we knew the rebrand had to both fit their current market position and also be contemporary enough to cut through noise and aid their growth in what is a very niche and aesthetically-driven market.
The 'DenmorePress' mark is a modern and simplistic identity that reads clearly, and offers no room for misunderstanding. It was important to us that this new identity didn't shout too loudly, and risk overpowering the creative direction of of high-end clients like Fabergé, Sotheby's, Martini and Land Rover.
A universal symbol for better, the Denmore 'Plus' is refined and targeted, anchoring the light and refined typography firmly in place. The identity is free from clutter and visually represents the very core of what they are built around.
As a family business spanning over 3 generations, they have always kept their ambitious and strong company values very close to their everyday operations. Through impeccable service delivery, diligent yet personal project management and an unwavering quest for excellence and impeccable attention to detail - this DenmorePress logo marque perfectly represents these elements in a simple and iconic way.
The mark will be used to help differentiate the brand from competitors and reinforce the strength of the business across multiple brand touchpoints.
Denmore Press have worked with a number of leading brands throughout their history, each offering the chance to show an incredible range of capabilities. A key aspect of the commission beyond brand development and execution was art direction.
With photographer Jonathan Addie, we worked on a number of key shots that would become the central visual pillar of their case studies and portfolio presentations.
